Safe Roots Housing
Supporting people to build a stronger future. Providing accommodation, support and guidance for individuals with complex needs.
Our Support
support workers
You will be allocated a Safe Roots Housing support worker. Your support worker will meet with you regularly (at times agreed with you) to support you with any issues in a two-way process. In your meetings, your support worker will work with you on your support plan and also your general welfare.
support plans
Soon after moving into a Safe Roots Housing property, your support worker will meet you and set up a support plan. They will agree with you those areas that you will be working on. This could include things like working on benefits, managing your finances, building up your social activities, taking part in education and anything else for your personal needs. Your support plan will be written down and you will be given a copy.
support plan review
Your support plan will be reviewed regularly, to make sure that you are making progress and that our support plan is working to better yourself. Other people may attend that review if appropriate, such as a social worker. If you feel at any time that you would like to review your support plan and a review is not due, you can speak to your support worker and ask for a support plan review. Your support worker will work with you to agree on a support plan that you are both happy with.
accessing support
Staff do not want to intrude on your privacy and are happy for you to have minimal contact if that is your wish and your support needs are low. However, as a part of Safe Roots Housing’s license agreement, we require that all our service users make use of the support given by our team. If you are living in a Safe Roots Housing and no longer feel the necessity for one to one support from our support workers, you may ask your support worker to help you find more suitable housing that does not require you to have support.
out of hours support
We do have an on-call number for 24 hours of support if needed. The aim is to provide support to our service users should they experience a crisis outside of normal office hours. This is not a number to be misused for real emergency’s that require police or medical attention. But the support is there and will not be refused to any of our service users.
